Brady retired. If it isn't Mahomes in the spotlight, it will be another QB, running back or receiver. QB's are always in the spotlight in the modern NFL.
Only record fans should care about is team titles. Green Bay is not being caught anytime soon.
As for QB's with SB wins, Mahomes needs to get to 4 (Bradshaw and Montana) before he gets to 7. And it is a lot about narrative and unless Belichick makes a deep playoff run like a close AFC championship game loss with NE, it will be tough for any QB, especially Mahomes, even with 8 rings to surpass Brady. Belichick's lack of success without Brady does hurt Belichick a bit but it enhances Brady. Reid may not have won Super Bowls without Mahomes but he went to many NFC championship games and one SB.
People already know about Gronk and Kelce. Gronk at his best was better than Kelce but Kelce probably ends up with the better career due to better durability/less major injuries. But this may be the season in which Kelce finally slows down.
Gronk at his absolute best was just a beast but the NFL beat him up. Gronk had 20 TDs in 17 games while also being an outstanding blocker before he got a high ankle sprain in 2nd game of the playoffs vs Baltimore. That in all likelihood cost the patriots a SB win.
