Boy - that seems like career suicide. There's just nothing but downside to that move.
I mean I guess if you're being hired as a GM and the team turns around, you're the public face of it. But as some behind the scenes cap guru answering to a lunatic of an owner, do you REALLY want to be the guy that takes the fall when it goes south?
Because it's gonna go south. And you're mostly along for the ride.
