I've wanted to try it, but then I look at the menu and feel violated without even walking into the place.... wonder if I could find a business reason, like someone who wants to sell me a timeshare....

The fact you compare prices of things you buy in a store versus what you get charged at a restaurant tells me all I need to know
You must be a real miserable person to go out to dinner with constantly complaining to your wife and kids not to order certain things because too expensive and you can buy it cheaper at the store.
You go out to dinner with all your work colleagues and the first thing you say is: "Oh my God, look at these prices. I would NEVER pay this if I hosted"
Stay home and make yourself PB&J sandwiches and put your savings in the bank. That is what you should be doing.
