This thread is weird for me to read. BC in other stories about the 2nd frozen trio, I know 2 of the lawyers representing some of the parties.
Don't know the defendant's lawyer, but went to UMKC law with Ross Nigro, who was a 3rd year when I was a 1st year. Oddly enough, Ross is also a Rockhurst High alum, but I'm3 yrs older than him.
Why he was ahead of me at UMKC was because I went to bio grad school after undergrad and bf law school.
The other lawyer i knew was Andrew Talge. Don't want to say HOW i knew him, because, well...anything I have to say about Andrew Talge is pejorative. Didn't like him when we were 14 and that's the last damn time I saw him. I didn't know he was a KC area lawyer.
If I were a judge, I'd have to recuse myself, because more than 40 years later, it would take an act of will not to bang Andrew Talge on the head with the gavel every time he came in range.
All I can say about Andrew Talge is the only way I'd hire him to represent me is in a jurisdiction that executed lawyers for being stupid, and I'd feed him screwy facts to make sure he looks stupid in court.
