I have no idea.
If they are THAT much better, well we've been hearing it all week, so I guess no one should be surprised.
Yet, the Chiefs defense is pretty damn good, there's Mahomes/Kelce/Rice and Reid. As I've seen others say, it's crazy the defending champs are being portrayed as some little engine that couldn't.... hell, people are giving the Lions a better chance to win tomorrow.
I expect the Ravens will run the ball well, people will freak the **** out, but then it'll really come down to whether the Chiefs can put the Ravens into obvious passing downs and then force Lamar to beat them in the air and not take off on those 3rd downs.... besides that, like every other "scary" running team, let them do their thing as long as that doesn't mean huge chunks of yardage and it means they need to put together 10+ play drives to score.
And unless the offensive line completely falls apart like the Super Bowl a few years ago, I expect Mahomes to be his usual playoff Mahomes self and make plays.
There's a lot of evidence to suggest QB > 'complete team', but as we've seen with say the 49ers SB, that doesn't mean it's easy.
The narrative all week reminds me of when I was a kid, thinking about beating the Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills of the early 90s..... those teams were like David vs Goliath match ups in my head, like these larger than life teams up against the little old Chiefs.
The Bucs SB was probably the closest we've seen to that, when it was 3rd string OL and defensive stars like Damien Wilson, Niemann, Sorenson against Tom Brady and his refs.
So.... cautiously optimistic is probably the best way to put it. I'd be surprised if it isn't a toss-up game, within 1 score in the final several minutes.
