He didn't.

Lamar proved that the problem isn't that he's a running QB - I think a guy with Lamar's gifts can/should win a SB someday. Maybe multiple.

The problem is that Lamar is dumb. He's just ****ing stupid. I don't understand how he didn't realize that he HAD to get his legs in the game. This 3rd read shit he was doing to prove a point wasn't going to work. We dared him to be a pocket passer and he took the bait.

Because he's dumb.

This shouldn't impact the 'narrative of the running QB' - it should impact the narrative of the stupid QB. If you lack the savvy to see what they're trying to make you do in-game and pivot, you're not going to win much in this league.
