Trey was more consistent this year so I'm more open to it than I was. Prior to this season he felt like a guy everyone loved because we stole him in the draft more than he was a great player.
This year he played at/near a Pro Bowl level for most of the year. And he's still young so there's room for continued development (ideally his pass pro catches up to his run protection).
You could justify it. I'm just not sure you need to. I mean we're getting really quality play out of Allegretti and always have. There's always another Allegretti. I really liked Saldiveri coming out of the draft last season and he didn't really do much in NOLA last year - anyone really think that would've been the case here?
I think you can take a couple 3rd/4th round players over the next couple years and have a nice set of OGs without needing to spend $25 million on the set.
