They could have made the same case as the Royals about it being more cost effective to build a new stadium rather than renovate now and I think more people would have been on board. They need the Royals out first. Plus to ease the backlash of tearing down Arrowhead. Saying hey we tired but the World Cup renovations revealed true problems is an easy out.
