Listen to that Reid interview with Eisen (I believe). That third down play in OT that caused SF to kick a FG was epic. He was exhausted and gave all that he had left and the rest was history. He is a huge reason why KC has three Lombardis in five years and that will get him in the Ring of Honor and cheers when he comes back for that ceremony.
He will be remembered fondly, but not held nearly in the esteem if we win 3 in a row, or another in the next 3 years and he retires a Chief. Tony Gonzales would have much more popularity in KC if he would have retired a Chief. Many of us understood why Tony did it, he wanted to win the big one, but that cost him some capital with Chiefs fans.
