Way back in the day I got arrested for driving suspended (not even my fault) and never got booked into the jail. I had released within an hour and this was on a Friday night.

Saturday night, 5-6 hours because it was late and I couldn't get a bondsman to pick up the phone in the shitsburg town I was in. One finally picked up the phone and charged me double his normal rate for his services.
I've known other people who were just told to get it sorted. I was hoping to be told the same once I explained why the license had been suspended but the officer gave no ****s. All good... he was within his right to do so.
