Haven't ever run the battery out though; was using my buddy's dads along with his gas saw out at the farm just to get a feel for how they cut.
In terms of pure cutting ability, it did well. Maybe not quite as fast as his Stihl but might have been - I wouldn't want to be making a living off the difference. And the new 'slow pull' saws that Stihl has just annoy me. I want to be able to throw that sucker away from me as I start it. The slow pulls won't do that, you almost have to start them on the ground. I'm sure that's safer and smarter and all that but it's just not how I've done it and so I find myself getting annoyed by them.
Honestly if you're not sure you want one, maybe try that Ego. Had I not used the Milwaukee before, the Ego is the route I'd have gone. But knowing it does the job vs. having a bunch of people tell me the Ego will do the job pushed me towards the former. Sight unseen, that Ego looks like a very nice little saw for a couple hundred bucks.

I own a bunch of woods and it would be super easy to just throw an electric in the bed of the gator and cut a few limbs after a wind storm opposed to the gas which is great if I'm cutting down a tree or using it for a few hours.
