McArthur was a guy that a lot of people liked who I just didn't trust one bit. He was awful pretty much his entire professional career until a hot month last season.
Baseball is absolutely littered with the sunken hulls of guys that have done that for short periods out of the bullpen. That's why sustained mediocrity out of the 'pen gets so much money these days. Teams will pay $8-10 million for setup men with track records just to try to get some level of volatility out of the 'pen.
Or you just keep throwing organizational arms at the problem every year and 2 or 3 if them will probably work out okay.
