Nix hit a couple of deep shots down the sideline Saturday, including a go ball in traffic to seventh-round pick Devaughn Vele that he squeezed past two defenders. But the majority of his work consisted of the kind of decisive, quick throws that he piled up en route to a record-breaking performance at Oregon last season, and which have given the Broncos confidence he can make a quick NFL transition.
