Are you talking about Grandview? Or all of the Missouri side of the metro?
Because as mentioned Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs are great suburbs. Parkville and North KC also.
In the city, the traditional residential neighborhoods are what they’ve always been. The premium areas are still premium areas (West Plaza, Crestwood, Hyde Park, Brookside, etc.) good residential neighborhoods are still good (Waldo, Roanoke, Valentine, south Hyde park, red bridge, wood bridge).
It’s easy to shit on the city and there are areas that deserve it, but there are plenty of strong neighborhoods. Public school options are better than they’ve been in decades and continue to improve.
Even the much-maligned Grandview has actually shown good growth and is trending up. Truman Corners has been cleaned up. The Main Street corridor is charming (and home to the best DMV office in the state).
