It was never about the games he bet to win. It was about the games he chose not to bet on. I don’t really care if he gets in or not. But the idea that he never threw games is not true.
Same with Joe Jackson and the splits behind high leverage and low leverage situations. Dude was unbelievably good in the playoff series when games didn’t matter and uncharacteristically terrible when they mattered. He definitely threw the series
