I think our attachment to him is way more about Reid liking system guys, sometimes being loyal to a fault and the front office trying to preserve his draft position/salary and/or not wanting to disrupt our wr depth while the room is in chaos. There just isn’t any logical performance benefit whatsoever where this makes sense

Skyy had no + NFL traits entering that draft. I remember it. The best you could say was he had a nice release in college and my thoughts were his best option in the NFL was to win in the first 5 yards.
Now that we can see that isn't there either there is nothing left to hope for or dream on.
Wish we had taken Shakir out of Boise state instead. Not a superstar but a nice #2 or #3 you can roll out there and use.
