I looked back at the last 8 Super Bowl winners and of those 8, the Chiefs last season scored the least amount of total points and the lowest ppg. Which of course includes some teams only playing three games, still scoring more than we did last season in four games.
Point being, we are incredibly unlikely to win again like we did last season. We will need to be more effective the entire game than we have been so far this season. Mahomes still doesn’t have a passing TD in the first quarter. Also we will probably need 30 points to win a game at some point as the defense isn’t quite as good.
The offense can be better though with Pacheco and Brown, and a more integrated Hopkins. But ultimately it’s going to come down to protection and Mahomes playing a bit better than he is right now.
