“Looking pissed off” is a bit of a disingenuous way to describe this.
Like you said, Daboll may be a good coach. I don’t know, but I’d bet the “nurturing coach” comments are directly spawned from that sort of behavior. If he’s got no problem treating his QB that way during a primetime game with millions watching there’s a solid chance it was far worse day-to-day in the facilities.
