Get used to the fact DJ Humphries will be this teams LT the next 2-3 years. This is the best we can expect.
He will be a 31 year old free agent that will have a very limited market and his injury history will limit that market even further to where KC should be able to get him at a very reasonable contract with no more than a first year of guarantees. Pair that with the hopeful continued development of Kingsley and Wanya, and that gives us options if DJ were to miss time.
He’s going to come in and solidify the LT position for us and that’s HUGE for this offense. No way Veach doesn’t give him Trey Smiths $$.
