Abandoning your running game entirely and becoming one dimensional willingly is not adapting to the defense.
Adapting to the defense would be using their aggressiveness against them and finding ways to move the football on the ground, as ahem....and this may come as a shock to you, but there are more running plays in the playbook besides halfback dive.
Giving up on a guy after 7 carries is Harbaugh in the AFCCG level coaching malpractice, and Andy did the shit TWICE. Pop, and Hunt both got ignored after 7 carries.
7 carries is barely a ****in warmup worth of carries. Pop saw the ball one more time after he busted loose and that was that.
On top of it, you can't even protect your God damn quarterback, so you might as well pick one of these guys to get committed to and let them get a feel for the defense.
Becoming one dimensional with a fencepost on the blindside is a good way to get your qb killed.
