Here's a cool one that involves one of my best friends and his son. The kid, who is IIRC in eighth grade, has the makings of a really good hockey player. My buddy to him to a Wayne Gretzky hockey camp, and Gretzky himself took a special interest in him - far more than the other kids there. Said the kid reminded him of himself at that age, which seems like a pretty big deal. As a result, my buddy spent quite of bit of time chatting with Wayne. He said he was awesome, although he had a really hard time getting around after all the abuse his body took during his playing days.
