But there's a difference between what happened in Wasp when he stood in there, absorbed the blow and delivered the ball and what's been happening most of this season.
This season he's been freezing up, patting the ball, moving into pressure and then getting hit.
O.City has been among the more vocal commenters here in pointing out a bunch of times where he just won't stand in and deliver a football. He ends up getting happy feet, rolling about, usually getting hit ANYWAY and then instead of standing in there to get hit and get the yards, he gets hit and it's 2nd and 10 so he gets to be exposed to the same hit all over again.
He's gotta play on time. And if you're gonna get hit, stand in and deliver. Too often this year he just hasn't done that. He's taken unnecessary contact to no benefit.

Yeah that's true. It's like having an inconsistent line and WRs have played into his fallback weaknesses. I'd have to go back and watch the first couple of games this year to verify but I think he started the season playing much more on schedule but when Rice went down and other teams saw they could exploit our Ts he's regressed.
