Really weird, I lived in Tulsa for 5 years, there is a show based there.
I flew to/over/around west Texas for a decade, guess where this show is based?
The oil money is real. The airports I flew to had freshly paved runways and really nice FBOs. As soon as you pulled out of the lot the towns were full-blown shitholes.
The area is nothing but brush and oil pumps. Desolate, god-forsaken country.
