I am in a similar situation. My mother is 93 and is just existing. She's not in any pain and we have hospice care. It's tough because she's still mentally aware yet doesn't want to do anything except lie around.
It sucks however it's her choice and her life. I can't imagine getting to the point where I just am waiting to die. It's hard to watch.
