And then it happened: We drafted Patrick Mahomes.
And things I'd never dreamed of in my tiny shrunken black hole of a heart came to pass.

Almost certainly, this off-season will bring a lot of change whether we win or lose. Players we've come to love will move on in search of fortunes. Coaches and front office people will move on to new opportunities. Change is the one constant, and we've been somewhat immune thus far. Probably not this time.
I'm not saying I don't CARE if we win or not; of course I CARE. I want to cement this Chiefs era as the greatest in the sport.
I won't be broken hearted if we don't get there. This team, these coaches, these players-they've already given me so much joy that not winning a third straight won't cause me to lose any sleep. It's house money, baby.
Enjoy the ride!

Yeah, my only concern at all was losing yesterday would have been a shitty way to end the current run... now that the Arrowhead Invitational is back on, one more win will be a first in NFL history, much less two more wins.
In a perfect world, Lamar Jackson would never make it to a SB and Bills Mafia would never experience true joy, but probably can't hold them off forever either, heh.
