It’s really something.
You can’t just ignore the big runs, but he’s far more human when he’s forced to work for it.
Against the Commanders: 15 for 118. Take away the 60 yarder and he had 14 for 58 (4.1 per)
Against the Rams: 26 for 205. Take away the 62 and 78 and he had 24 for 65 (2.7 per)
Obviously, there’s a lot of flaws with that. The possession would still continue if the big runs didn’t happen. He may well break another in its place. Etc etc.
But the point remains, you HAVE TO limit those big runs and make the Eagles surgically drive the field. Allow a 70 yard TD run and you take away Hurts’s ability to **** things up.
