Ok, this post is entirely disingenuous. If you can't argue in good faith, don't bother.
Your 2 was drafted as a left tackle project and is going to be a second year player.
Your 3 is an OT project and going into year 3. Looked better than your 2 until he had some injury issues. But still, neither were drafted to play guard. The positions aren't the same.
And the '6' that is Smith droppped due to medicals only, probably a 2nd or 3rd round talent at worst coming out. The blood clot issue is why he dropped. So let's not act like he's a 6th round talent guy.
So your entire argument is based on hooey.
Now, I'm thinking that Smith is going to get offered more money than KC is willing to match, so he ends up elsewhere. But don't act like this is crazy.
And if you're just going to give up on young project players immediately if they're not starter quality right away, then we should just not bother drafting at all. Impatient and silly.
