This is the thing about motorcycles - you can be the safest, most skilled rider there is, wear all your protective gear, and still get killed getting hit by some idiot in an accident where you have zero fault that would have resulted in no injury at all or bumps and bruises had you been in a car. You want to do it, then do it; your life, your call, certainly not my business. But you're putting yourself at far more risk than you need to.
Funny motorcycle story - a couple of days ago I saw some guy riding a chopper that was way too big for him. Dude looked like he was about five foot nothing - with his hands on the grips his arms were so far up in the air he looked like Daniel Larusso doing the crane.
