I just bought a KLR 650.... Haven't ridden regularly for 40 years. Got my class M...and I'm a long ways away from taking it out on the road. But I'm going to go get used to it again on the dirt. Nothing crazy. Just until I get used to a clutch and some slow speed maneuvering.
