Please help me find this stat…
Royals are in the top 8-ish of teams at this stage of the season winning games with less than 4 runs since 1969.
There was several Orioles teams in there, ‘69/70’ I remember the ‘05 ChiSox being on the list, early 70’s Athletics teams…
And every team reached the playoffs, several the WS.
This is a troubled time with Ragans and Lugo both being out while our offense sputters no Hunter Harvey, Alec Marsh being out, but…. We are almost a third thru the season. The offense hasn’t gotten hot, but the pitching is there, and it’s maybe gonna be the “theme” for the year.
If it stopped now, we’d be a playoff team.
We will probably have a few more crappy losing streaks due to no offense, but I bet we have more winning streaks due to our exceptional pitching and dudes feeling their oats. This isn’t a perfect team. There are holes. But we’re in good shape and let’s take two outta three in MN starting tomorrow.
