It sucks but this offense is terrible. In a normal situation he should have been sidelined a while ago. But we have to claw for any offense we can find, and he's a guy with a long track record of starting terribly. If he puts up an .800 OPS in June and July we could use it.
He wasn't playing much, but he was 6-20 with 3 doubles in the time he did play these last two weeks. I'm just saying I get why JJ did it, just in the last 3-4 years we've had this same convo, then watched Soler become a WS MVP, watch Carlos Santana come alive, watch Ryan O'Hearn become a legit dangerous hitter. Royals seem to struggle with these low average slugger types. But sometimes that's just a change of scenery for a guy.
