It was Abby who was hung up by the scars, which led to one of the better parts of the game, so it will be interesting if they go back to that in some way in S3 with Abby. but yeah, those on the Ellie hate-wagon should be happy with S3, as I suspect it will be 75% Abby story

I'm sure it was fine in the video game, you could just keep playing it to finish the story (I assume?).

But given it is a TV show that we probably won't see again until 2027, that kind of cliffhanger is pretty disappointing. They didn't even show us where Jeffrey Wright's character is going/what they're doing as part of the war.
