Have not had any experience with Veo3 it looks like it is in a class all its own.
Was not impressed with Veo2 I thought Sora (from OpenAI) was much better. The video AI arms race is going to be a thing to behold.
Veo 3 is the first time I have seen examples of AI and thought "wow, we are absolutely cooked" people are not going to be able to tell the difference on this.
The world changes and we adapt but we are transitioning into some kind of post truth era.
Just thinking out loud I wonder if more person to person authentication will happen in the way we communicate with each other.
At the police department we deal with a lot of phone based scams and the people they target are already falling for it but when people start using voices of friends or family members? We are all in for a wild ride.
