School is not out yet-but wanted to update

I am on the job hunt again.

My job is being reduced to 0.8 Why?

a. There are just not as many kids around
B. (most importantly) at least 20 kids in 8th grade are being syphoned off so the 7th grade teacher can have her special science class and keep her full time or more.

The last few years-I have realized-My principal has favorites--and I am not one of them. She has an inner circle. I am on the outside. Those on the outside see it. Those on the inside-dont.
Favorite 7th grade teacher gets to do what she wants. Out of the circle 8th grade teacher gets screwed. I have gone weeks without my existence being acknowledged.

I have interviewed for the 9th grade Earth Science in my school-which is what I am good at. I wanted this class 4 years ago-when it should have started.(long story) My current students signed a petition in support of me teaching that class and a few wrote letters to the HS principal. It has been 2.5 weeks and no one has talked to me about the job.

I have also interviewed in a couple of other places and applied to others.

Also looking at outside of education--again.

Principal and I have a year end meeting next week. We will see how it goes. But I have been told I have no other opportunities in the Junior High.

I am tired

This is hard for me to read. I hope things get better. Doesn't sound like a great situation unfortunately.

I don't have position movement problems, but administration across the district is weak and ineffective. They just want to move kids through and not have to deal with parents.

I've got 4 days and at least 11 more years left.
