You know, I usually don't subscribe to that sort of theory, but I just realized this afternoon while catching a bit of Monday Morning Quarterback (or whatever it is on ESPNews) that they (the media talking/writing heads) really do seem to take a certain amount of glee in our "downfall." I remember this sort of attitude when we lost to the Bengals, too. I don't know why, exactly, but I get the distinct impression that they really
don't respect the Chiefs, and consider the franchise somehow unworthy.
It's not a conspiracy, and it's not an attitude held by everyone out there, but it really is there, IMHO.
It's actually kind of weird, when you think about it. They were slobbing on DV's knob like corn on the cob when he was in St. Louis, but transferred that men-on-man love to Martz as soon as the reigns were handed over to that "mastermind," now preferring to laugh about how much of a crybaby DV is than discuss him as if he's some sort of holy figure.
