If you did the research you would see that Patton played on some really lousy defenses in his NFL career. At best the defenses he played on were average.

Again, just a difference in opinons !
Patton never lost his MLB position until many years of service in the NFL.
Can't say that about Davis. It was because of the talent around him that made him better.
Patton was solid no matter what talent was around him.
