Over that same timespan, our defense has been one of the very worst in the league. Based on that, why do some people on here say we need a WR? What indications are there that our offense needs a WR this year? No matter what happens, our #1 one will be Priest/LJ and #2 will be Gonzo....I honestly believe a WR drafted in the 1st round would not be happy being in our offense. On the flipside, we have made some great defensive additions this offseason, but we still aren't going to be confused with the 85 Bears. So, what's the deal? For those lobbying for a WR, explain your position, because I don't get it.
I think the pick should go defense, if Derrick Johnson or Carlos Rodgers are still on the board. But if Mike Williams or Troy Williamson pop up at 15, and the prime defensive players are gone. Williams is a true possession reciever who would make the Chiefs unstoppable in goal line situations. Williamson has so much speed, defensive safties could never cheat against the run. Both players change defensive gameplans.
