Dude drives jeep into desert
Jeep dies on Dude and he walks for several days and gets lost.
Dude finds snake named "Nate" and a big rock with a lever in it that will destroy all mankind.
Dude talks to snake and they become friends
Dude and snake enter pact - dude gets extra health & wisdom points and the bonus of being able to survive with little water.
After a number of years, the snake has a son to take over the family business of being guardian of the lever.
Nate wants dude to take son and show him the world first.
Dude takes little snake and goes to see the world.
Dude brings little snake back, instead of walking to the rock with the lever that destroys the world, the get lazy and decide to drive.
Dude loses control of RV going down dune to rock and his heading straight for the lever.
Dude decides to try and turn the RV to the left - Nate is in his path.
He looks at the little snake and says "Better Nate than Lever"
Now see, this story could have been much, much shorter.
