Not only do I believe in the power of prayer but I have been the benefactor also. I'm one of those stories people hear about but for some reason refuse to believe.
I suffered from arthritis for several years and it had gotten so bad that I had used either a cane or crutches to get around. The doctors told me to take disability and quit my job - it would never get better. One evening at a revivial at our church I felt lead to go forward when the pastor called for people to come forward for healing prayer. I had been prayed for many times before with no results. I don't know why but for some reason this time seemed different. I went home and put my crutches in the closet. That has been 6 years ago now and I am working at the same job and mowing my yard (the docs told me I wouldn't be able to do that either) with a push mower since. My crutches remain in the closet and I don't even know where my cane is anymore.
I don't know why some are healed and others remain the same. I am only human do not question His sovernity. I do know, however, that prayer DOES work and I will pray for your nephew.
