Usually he doesn't make excuses... he usually just says how great the opposing team is, and how awesome their coach is. He especially likes to throw in that he somehow knows the other coach, like, "I remembe when So and So was 4 years old when I was a broadcaster and used to watch me give the play by plays... ahh those were the days, but on a brighter note we simply played an outstanding football team today."
