I had my eyes closed at that time. I always closed my eyes for trapeze and similar circus acts. When the Ring Leader interrupted the act, I thought it was part of the act. His announcement that JFK had been shot emptied the show. Ringling Bros/Barnum and Bailey Circus in Downtown KC on that fateful day. It was all surreal through the killing of Oswald days later. Get that blast coming home after church.
