I really hate the idea of war & those that make war. I think humans should consider themselves above warfare, but I guess we aren't far enough removed from our animalistic tendencies to achieve world peace at this point in our evolution.
With that said, I think that when we are at war, EVERYTHING within the borders of our enemy is fair game. Women. Children. Schools. Hospitals. Churches. Everything. Forget these "surgical air strikes". Not only should we not worry about destroying indiscriminately, we should make a conscious attempt to do so, after the most crucial targets have been eliminated. Keep killing and killing until either you have broken your enemies' will entirely, or there are no more enemies to kill.
I wouldn't mind seeing our next defeated territory become the sole property of the USA. Not a state, just a piece of property. You know...suck it dry of all natural resources & turn it into a bombing range/toxic waste dump.
