I also think one of the reasons Carl isn't sold on Al is the situation with LJ. Al's never been a big fan of LJ, and prefers the scatback type runner. I think Carl would like to know he has a coach who's committed to running his thoroughbred.

I understand that concern. And I almost wonder if Al went out of his way to prove that. LJ started like 9 times and still had a zillion carries. He actually gave LJ more carries than Priest has ever had in a season, in far less time... he definitely "ran the thoroughbred".
