According to the documentation:

The D5 Streaming Media Server can handle approximately 10,000 audio files with acceptable resource consumption. The following media file formats are supported:

JPEG Must be larger than 108 by 171 pixels
M3U
MP3 Bit rate must be greater than 80 kbps
MPEG-1 Must not be greater than 3 MB/sec
MPEG-2 Must not be greater than 3 MB/sec
PCT
PLS
PSD
TIFF
WMA Bit rate must be greater than 48 kbps
