MU only wins when Gardner is hot. When he's not, MU becomes one of the worst teams in the Big12. I truly understand that a win is a win and what a hell of a game it was in Columbia earlier this season, but lets be serious here. Gardner making 40points is just unreal, and is the only reason why MU was even close in that game. At that time Gardner was hot and I understand that, but nothing compared to what he did that nite against KU. At the time Gardner was averaging 20+ points a game. Lets say he stays along that average and has around a 25 point game, which is still very very good. In this case Kansas still wins by 12 points (86-74). It was a great game non the less, but I nearly laughed when MU fans were saying of how great the TEAM played that night, and how they thought for about a week that they had a chance to make a run for the big dance in March. Let's be real here for a minute Mizzou fans. Thomas Gardner beat KU. How does this have anything to do with the game Sat? Thomas Gardner since the KU game is averaging around 15pts a game, which is respectable by any measure, but MU is also 1-6 during that span. What does that mean MU fans? MU wins when Gardner has a hot hand. He will not have another 40pt night by any means nor will he have a 25-30pt night. This is gonna be a bloodbath folks. Not to mention MU doesn't exactly play division 1 calibur bball when playing at Allen Fieldhouse. KU88-MU63
