Yep, Dune was awesome. It's not my favorite all time but it's up way there on my list as a novel and as a series. That movie was such a bad version of the story...I wasn't that disappointed again until Starship Troopers came out.

Mercifully, I never read Starship Troopers prior to seeing the movie. As a result, I actually enjoyed the movie. But I realize I wouldn't had I read the book.
