Ran your premise on Kelly Blue Book, with a 95 Accord and a 95 Mustang.
Figured 240,000 miles on each and fair condition and private sale.
The Mustang’s low end is a 2d Coup at $1,650.
The Mustang’s high end is the Cobra Convertible at $4,550
The Accords low end is $1.900 for a DX Sedan 4d at $1,900
The Accords high end is an EX Coupe 2d at $2,830
They also list avg miles for both cars at only 90,000.
Personally I wouldn’t buy a car for every day use with 100,000 plus miles on it regardless of the make.
A low mileage program car is a hell of a lot better deal and will give you a lot longer service.
I also keep a car for a minimum of 10 years and don’t really give a rip about resale value.
