To me this sums up the whole problem with American military efforts. We want to do the same as the muslims - convert them - into something they're not. The rest of the world has grown tired of our bully tactics and therefore do not stand by us. Bush took a vote of other countries and could only convince 1 out of dozens that this was something we needed to do.
I don't believe that the muslims are trying to conquer the world. I believe that they simply want their holy land untouched. I believe that had we evacuated in 1995 when they had warned of the attacks, we'd be ok today.
I my be way off but what Bush has done is stir up the hornets nest. As long as they're overseas, the Al Jazira network will exploit us and show women and kids being blown up - further enciting more hatred towards us.
I'm not saying at this point we must exit. It's too late for that now. The problem is that Bush actually started this war on his own and now the rest of the world must suffer for this decision.
