Why does everyone think that veterans will immediately mentor a rookie QB? IIRC We have a new OC and Trent Green has enough concerns right now with learning somwhat new plays and some new terminology, mentoring a QB that probably wont start a game for us for at least 3 seasons (including this upcoming one) is more than likely not on his priority list.
If Croyle wants to learn the ropes its up to him to show the initiative that he wants to learn. I'm more than sure that if he wants to learn from Green, that Green will be more than happy to teach him whatever he can because Trent is a fantastic teammate, but having that said, its totally up to Croyle because Croyle has to take into account that he'll be riding the pine a few seasons.
