Just a suggestion, but our keeper league had a salary cap. Since our rosters are 15 players I'll change it to reflect that.
Say the cap is $30. Every year you keep a player their price doubles. 1st year everyone is 1$, 2nd year $2, 3rd year $4, etc. That way you can keep players for years but, say, you can't lock up someone like Manning or LJ or Tomlinson for a decade without sacrificing other spots.
We also had a rule where the last 2 teams could use their 1st round pick the next year to steal any player from any team, but they also had to keep that same cap number.
